Dartmouth Police investigating armed robbery at gas station

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (AP) — Dartmouth Police are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station.

Police said the robbery occurred about 6 p.m. Friday at a Shell gas station.

WPRI-TV reports that a male customer at the gas station told police he had been assaulted. The man said he was beaten with a firearm and robbed while inside the store.

The victim was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford to be treated for his injuries.

A police search of the area failed to locate a suspect.

Clinton police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
