Darrieann Hess given until Friday to strike a deal in '13 double-fatal crash

BRENTWOOD - A Seabrook woman has until the end of the week to strike a plea deal on charges relating to the deaths of two people in Hampton last year.

20 year-old Darriean Hess is charged with manslaughter and negligent homicide. In 2013, she crashed her car into a group of bicyclists, killing two and injuring others while allegedly under the influence of drugs.

Hess was expected to appear in Rockingham Superior Court for a hearing to get evidence thrown out, but that's been postponed. Instead, she met privately with the judge and attorneys on the case.

According to Rockingham County Attorney Patricia Conway, Hess has until Friday, December 12th to agree to a plea deal.
