Curt Schilling trolls the trolls who bullied his daughter on Twitter

It all started with a seemingly innocent tweet from Curt Schilling.

He's congratulating his daughter on working hard and pitching in college, but apparently some of the responses he received were less than polite.

Instead, she was the target of cyberbullying, even from some students attending Salve Regina, a small university in Newport, R.I.

He nailed the response, though.

Shockingly, @Stan_Dern is no longer an account on Twitter.

Schilling didn't take the comments well, and he sounded off on all of them.

He explained his actions in a must-read blog post, and revealed some of the things sent to him and his daughter. And be warned, some of the messages are GRAPHIC.

This just proves again that no matter how great social media can be, it is also an awful place when people make it that way. Schilling, of course, has been in heated arguments on social media before. That's part of his personality, whether you think he's on the right or wrong side.

He's on the right side on this one, and his daughter thinks so, too.
