NH woman charged with drug possession after hit-and-run crash
MERRIMACK — A woman is facing several charges after police say she side swiped a vehicle and left the scene.
The victim called police around 8:58 p.m. Sunday reporting that their vehicle had just been side swiped and that they had the mirror of the vehicle that took off.
Around 9:05 p.m. an officer patrolling the area of Greeley Street spotted a car matching the description given by the victim.
Police said Morgan Pottier, 21, of Milford, was driving erratically and had fresh damage along the entire passenger side of her vehicle.
Officers stopped Pottier in the area of Daniel Webster Highway and Industrial Drive and confirmed she had been involved in the hit-and-run crash, police said. Officers also noticed a quantity of marijuana in plain view, police said.
Pottier was arrested without incident and taken to the police department for booking. During an inventory of her property, officers found Xanax, Alprazolam, and other drug paraphernalia, police said.
Pottier also resisted during the booking procedure and was subsequently charged with resisting detention, police said.
Pottier also has been charged with OUIL/DWI - drugs, conduct after an accident, possession/transportation of marijuana, possession/transportation of Xanax and Alprazolam.
Pottier was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Merrimack district court on Aug. 10.
