NH man indicted on several felonious sex assault charges involving teenage girl

TILTON — A man was indicted Thursday on multiple sexual assault and manufacturing child abuse images charges after a months-long investigation by police.
The Tilton Police Department said Charles H. Beckley, 53 of Tilton, was indicted by a Belknap County Grand Jury for five counts of felonious sexual assault, one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault, and two counts of manufacturing child abuse images on individuals older than 13-years-old and younger than 16-years-old.
Tilton police said their investigation began on May 3rd, 2017, when they received information that a 13-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted. At the time, police said there could be other victims.
Beckley was arrested on May 11, 2017, at about 7 p.m. after police obtained an arrest warrant for him and a search warrant for his residence.
He was transported to the Tilton Police Department and held on $20,000 cash bail.
Police said Beckley will be arraigned at the Belknap County Superior Court at a later date to be determined.
