NH man charged with sexually assaulting 9-year-old at pond
NASHUA — A man has been accused of touching a young girl at a pond.
At 4:32 p.m. officers responded to the report of a sexual assault at Sandy Pond on National Street. A 9-year-old girl told her mother and officers that a man she didn't know touched her inappropriately at the pond.
The girl gave a description of the suspect and police arrested James Bourque, 46, 10 Maple St., Nashua, at 5:32 p.m.
Officers arrested Bourque for felonious sexual assault, a class B felony.
Detectives furthered investigated and Bourque was charged with an additional charge of felonious sexual assault, a class B felony.
A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years in New Hampshire State Prison.
Bourque was held on $25,000 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned at Hillsborough County Superior Court - South on Monday.
