CONCORD — A Massachusetts man was sentenced to 33 months in prison for stalking a young New Hampshire woman online and coercing her into sending underage nude photos to him.
According to court records and statements, David Ackell, 48 of Seekonk, Mass., sent messages online to a 16-year-old victim and convinced her to send him nude pictures as long as he would not save them.
After several months, Ackell persuaded the girl to send more photographs to him.
Once the victim turned 18 years old, she told Ackell to end their relationship and leave her alone, but Ackell threatened to send the nude photos to friends and family of the victim. He also threatened to rape a 14-year-old girl.
Ackell is appealing his conviction and will not serve the sentence until after a Court of Appeals ruling.
