Lock your Doors: Alleged Thieves Target Manchester's North End
MANCHESTER — Police arrested a man and woman after they were caught rummaging through cars in the North End.
Manchester police say they responded to the area of Victoria Street around 2:40 a.m. Wednesday after receiving a call about two people looking through cars.
An officer saw two people matching the caller's description walking near a home on Elm Street. As the officer stopped, the pair fled through the yard towards River Road.
An officer located the woman first near a home on River Road. Emily Soterion, 24, homeless, was arrested and taken into custody.
Another officer found Jefferson Kimball, 24, of Auburn trying to hid underneath a car inside the detached garage of a home. He was detained and after a search police found a woman's driver's license, a bag of tools, wireless iPhone charger, sunglasses and a suboxone strip. He was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug, receiving stolen property, and loitering/prowling.
Soterion is facing loitering/prowling charges.
They were both expected in court Wednesday.
