Keene Police Nab 2 Suspected Dealers During Drug Patrol
KEENE — Police arrested two suspected drug dealers Wednesday during a special patrol.
Keene police said they partnered with Swanzey police and New Hampshire State Police for the patrol that targeted people wanted for drug sales.
Officers executed a search and arrest warrant on Fowler Street in the early afternoon at the home of Jonathan R. Walters, 26, of Keene.
Walters has been charged with selling heroin.
Police said, as a result of the search, that additional charges may be pending. Police took Walters into custody without incident and brought him to the Cheshire County Jail in lieu of bail. He was arraigned in Cheshire County Superior Court on Thursday.
The second arrest occurred around 10 p.m., when Cassy L. Short, 27, of Keene, was seen driving on Carroll Street. Police said she also was wanted for selling heroin.
Police stopped Short and arrested her without incident. Police said they searched her and additional charges are expected.
Short was taken to the Cheshire County Jail in lieu of bail and was arraigned in Cheshire County Superior Court on Thursday.
