An Overdose, A Search, A Find and an Arrest in Groveton
GROVETON — A drug overdose led to an investigation and an arrest.
On Sunday at 5:03 p.m., New Hampshire State Police Troop F, along with the Groveton Emergency Medical Services, responded to a home for an overdose of an unidentified person.
The call led to a search warrant request and execution. At the home, troopers found about 25 grams of what is believed to be opiate-based drugs, police said. The suspected drugs have been sent to a lab for analysis.
Police arrested Katie Fysh, who lived at the home, and charged her with possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute.
Fysh was arraigned Monday at Coos County Superior Court and was held on cash bail.
The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Drug Task Force, Northumberland Police Department and the Lancaster Police Department helped with the investigation.
