Crash on Route 202 bypass damages cars but drivers ok

ROCHESTER - Two drivers walked away largely unscathed after a crash on the Route 202 bypass near the exit ramp from Route 16 on Saturday afternoon.

Police say Danielle Kimball, of Lebanon, Maine, was heading east on the bypass when Sarah Hatfield of 8 Downfield Lane in Rochester, turned left off the northbound exit ramp onto the Route 202 bypass to head west. The two cars collided and slid off the paved portion of the road.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged and had to be towed. Hatfield was issued a summons for failure to yield, police said. Neither woman was seriously injured.
