Crash in Sanbornton sends teen to hospital with life-threatening injuries


SANBORNTON — A 16-year-old boy was trapped in his car after he crashed into a tree on Interstate 93 south early Thursday morning.

Fire and rescue were able to remove the victim from the 2000 Honda Accord, which was to the left of the roadway, and transport him via airlift to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash, which happened at about 3:30 a.m., remains under investigation.
