SOMERSWORTH - A large gray coyote that attacked and injured three dogs Sunday has been found and euthanized, and testing is now being done to confirm if it was sick, police said.
The first dog was attacked about 4 a.m. on Black Water Road. Six hours later, two more dogs were attacked on Rocky Hill Road. A witness saw the coyote 20 minutes later and described it as having many porcupine quills stuck in its snout. It was also described as having a potion of the front leg is missing.
The coyote was located today at about 6:45 a.m. underneath the deck of a trailer in the Crystal Springs Trailer Park. NH Fish and Game responded and euthanized the animal and sent it for testing to determine whether it was rabid.
