Couple argues in car, wife falls out, husband arrested for reckless driving

HINSDALE - A woman is in critical condition after falling out of a car on Friday during an argument with her husband, who was driving, according to police.

The Union Leader reports that police have arrested the husband, Timothy Vigneau, 31, of Hinsdale and charged him with felony reckless conduct, driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle after suspension.

Tiffany Vigneau, 34, was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and then flown by helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where she remains.

Emergency services, police and firefighters responded to a report of the accident on Meetinghouse Road on Friday around 2:45 p.m., police said.

During the investigation, they determined the couple had been arguing.

According to police, Timothy Vigneau began operating erratically and his wife fell from the car, suffering life-threatening injuries.

Vigneau was being held at the Cheshire County jail in Keene in-lieu of $50,000 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in the 8th Circuit Court District Division in Keene on Tuesday.
