Conway first responders treat 3 overdoses in a week with Narcan

CONWAY - First responders needed Narcan to revive a man found slumped over a steering wheel outside a store on Eastman Road on Friday - the third overdose requiring treatment with Narcan in roughly a week in the Conway area.

According to police, the call came in Friday afternoon around 12:45. First responders found a 33-year-old man unresponsive in the car. During resuscitation efforts, they were informed the man may have overdosed. He was given several doses of Narcan while being transported to Memorial Hospital.

Police say this is the third such incident in barely more than a week. Narcan was needed for an overdose victim on Sept. 25 at 151 Kearsarge Road in North Conway and on Sept. 26 at 57 Pleasant Street in Conway.

All three cases remain under investigation, police said.
