Convicted felon from Epsom arrested in connection with gun burglaries in NH, Vermont

CONCORD - A 22-year-old felon was arrested in connection to burglaries where handguns were stolen from homes in two New England states.

Tuesday afternoon, police arrested Christopher D. Barker, 22 of Epsom and charged him with two counts of receiving stolen property - felonies, and two counts of felon in possession of a dangerous weapon - also felonies.

His arrest was the result of an investigation that stems from two home burglaries - one in Hartford, Vt and one in Enfield where handguns were stolen in both instances.

Barker was found with both stolen firearms in his possession, after police found that he intended to sell them in the parking lot of the Steeplgate Mall to another person.

Barker, who is a convicted felon on parole, refused bail and was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning.
