Conservation officers believe speed and alcohol contributed to ATV crash in NH

SWANZEY — New Hampshire Fish and Game officers were called to rescue one man who crashed into a tree while driving his ATV on Saturday.

According to responders, Kyle Martin, 22, of Rhode Island was attempting to pass his friend on a trail in the area of Rabbit Hollow Road in Swanzey when he lost control and went off the path.

The friends Martin was riding with called 911 and reported that he had struck a tree and sustained serious injuries in the process.

Fish and Game officials say Martin was transported to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene where he was evaluated and later transported to UMass Worcester for further treatment.

Conservation Officers are continuing to investigate the accident, and appears that speed and alcohol are contributing factors to the incident.
