Concord wrestling hosts Capital City Classic tournament
CONCORD - 18 high school wrestling teams from across the Granite State as well as teams from Vermont and Rhode Island traveled to Concord for the annual Capital City Classic at Concord High School on Saturday.
The tournament features five wrestling mats, a concession stand complete with a slush maker and, competition that places wrestlers through the top six in each weight class.
Rhode Island's Bishop Hendricken took home the crown last year, besting Concord in points 277 to 202.5. Concord has not won the tournament in over a decade.
As of 2 p.m. the tournament is preparing to move into the medal round and NH1.com will continue to provide updates as they are made available.
