Concord police searching for Sam's Food Store robbery suspect armed with handgun

CONCORD – Concord police are searching for a white male suspect that robbed the Sam’s Food Store on Saturday evening.

According to police, the clerk said the man pointed a handgun at him and demanded that he opened the store’s safe.

The clerk activated the panic alarm and the suspect left the store without any cash.

The suspect was described as a white male, about 5-foot-5 and in his early 20’s. He was wearing dark pants, a dark long sleeve shirt and a baseball hat. He also had a tan cloth covering his nose and mouth.

The suspect also had mismatched footwear with bright red and orange laces.

No one was injured but police are searching for the attempted robber.
