Concord police looking for self-identified doctor at scene of fatal pedestrian accident

CONCORD - Police are searching for a man who identified himself as a doctor at the scene of a fatal accident involving a man in a wheelchair last month.

Gene Parker, 62, was hit by a car in his wheelchair near Interstate 393 between North Main Street and Commercial Street.

He later died from his injuries.

During the course of this investigation detectives learned that multiple individuals stopped immediately following the accident. Officials have identified some of those people, but said they have yet to identify the doctor.

The Concord Police Department is still investigating this accident and asks anyone with information to contact Detective Chris DeAngelis at 225-8600 x3757.
