Concord police investigating crash involving bicyclist that shut down busy road
CONCORD - Police are investigating a crash involving a bicyclist that shut down a portion of Loudon Road on Friday evening.
Emergency crews responded to the scene near the intersection of Airport Road and Hazen Drive shortly before 7 p.m. after at least one driver struck a person on a bicycle.
The crash shut down the two eastbound lanes of the road for about an hour as police investigated. At least seven police cruiser initially responded to the scene.
A car and motorcycle driving eastbound as well as a minivan driving westbound all were stopped on the road as well. Police appeared to be speaking with the motorcyclist and the driver of the minivan.
A male appearing to be in his late teens or early 20s could be seen sitting in the median of the road.
Police also shut down the westbound lanes for about 15 minutes to help clear the crash.
It's unknown at this time how many people or vehicles were involved or the extent of any injuries. Officers on scene said there is no further information available at this time.
