Concord man thrown over handlebars of ATV after losing control, hitting trees

DUMMER — A man was thrown over the handle bars of his ATV after he lost control during a Friday afternoon ride.

Gregory Barnes, 39 of Concord, was driving his ATV on Black Camp Road in Dummer when he lost control.

Barnes lost control while driving through a large puddle. He failed to navigate a corner and crashed into some small trees.

The two people he was riding with called 911 immediately. Milan/Dummer Ambulance as well as Milan Fire Department and Conservation Officers responded.

Barnes was transported to Androscoggin Valley Hospital for treatment.

The incident is under investigation but unreasonable speed is believed to be the cause.
