Concord man leads Route 4 police chase

A Concord man reportedly led police on a short chase heading eastbound on Route 4 near the Lee traffic circle around 10 p.m. Friday night, resulting in his arrest.

Nottingham Police attempted to stop a 1999 Acura after suspecting the driver was intoxicated, but police reported the driver failed to stop and continued driving down Route 4 toward the Lee traffic circle. The driver entered the circle and began heading westbound on Route 4 when State Police took over the chase, authorities reported. The driver pulled over after a short time thereafter, police say.

The man has been identified as 35-year-old David Matisko and will be charged with Disobeying a Police Officer and Driving Under the Influence. He was taken into custody without incident.
