Community Mourns Beloved Teacher

Police arrived at the home of Elizabeth Trombly on Meadlow Lane on for a routine welfare check, but when they got there they discovered the body of Trombly and her adult son.

The community incredibly saddened and shocked about the lost of Trombly and her son, John.

The superintendent of Hollis Brookline schools says, "It's devastating because she was so well respected by her peers and her friends."

Having only been superintendent for fifty-five days he says, "Again in my short time it was quite evident this woman was dedicated to students."

One of the school's former students says when she heard the news she couldn't believe it.

"When I heard I was like really shocked and like sad. It was such a big loss and I did not expect it at."

Still this former students says Trombly not only made an impact on her, but on so many other students.

"She was really nice and she genuinely cared about students and helping people. She was always happy and people just seemed to really like her."

Many staff and students didn't want to speak with NH1. Some are working with grief counselors right now.

Jonathan Trombly is also dearly missed at his Vermont law school. NH1 contacted them and they released this statement:

"Our thoughts and prayers of the VLS community are with the Trombly family during this difficult time.We have no comment on the circumstances of the tragic deaths.
John Trombly had been a student here but was not enrolled at VLS at the time of this death."

The Attorney General's office has not released details about what led up the murder suicide or a motive in this case.
