Colebrook crash leaves Stewartson passenger dead, driver injured

COLEBROOK — A car crash left one man dead at the scene, and a driver injured on Piper Hill 7:54 p.m. Friday.

Colebrook police responded to reports of the crash to find that a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Nathan Mills, 26, of Stewartson had been traveling west when it left the roadway and hit some trees before stopping on its side.

The passenger, identified as Jonathan Flanders, 31, of Stewartson, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Mills was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical center for his injuries.

Speed and impairment are believed to be the causes of the crash, but the incident is still under investigation.
