Clinton to discuss early childhood education in NH on Monday

The Associated Press

MANCHESTER (AP) — Democrat presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton is returning to New Hampshire to talk about early childhood education.

Clinton is hosting a town hall at Manchester Community College on Monday morning and participating in an afternoon conference on early childhood education. She'll also join the Today Show for a town hall moderated by host Savannah Guthrie in New Hampshire.

Clinton, who worked for the Children's Defense Fund after law school, is making early childhood education a key component of her campaign. She is calling for universal pre-kindergarten programs.

The former first lady and new grandmother says a child shouldn't have to be the granddaughter of a former president to receive a good education.
