Clerk fends off attempted robbery at Manchester's AMT Market with shoe

MANCHESTER - A convenience store clerk went a little unorthodox when confronted with a potential robbery.

Police said the clerk working at AMT Market on Massabesic Street used a shoe to chase away the suspect.

The Manchester police responded to an attempted robbery on Friday.

According to police the suspect didn't display a weapon or allude to having one.

He fled the scene after the clerk pulled off his shoe.

The suspect is described as a white man between 5’5" and 5'7" tall.

He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, with the hood concealing his face and dark colored pants.
