MANCHESTER - Sometimes mother nature needs a little help melting all that snow.
Manchester Department of Public Works already has crews cleaning up.
New Hampshire is no stranger to snow melters that change all the snow into water.
But where does that water end up?
It gets taken to a facility where it is pretreated to eliminate pollutants and bacteria. Then deposited into the Merrimack River. The city of Manchester gets its drinking water from the lake Ossipee but if you're downstream from the Queen City your water could come from the Merrimack.
Department of public works says after the water has been treated it is safe to drink.
