Low pressure will strengthen and track northward off the East Coast. This low will track into New England Tuesday Night and linger possibly the whole way to Friday. It has the potential to produce significant snow and rain across the region mostly on Tuesday as it appears at this time.

Low pressure aloft will linger through the end of the week. This will keep plenty of cloud cover around beyond Tuesday with scattered rain and snow showers.

Gradual clearing is expected by the weekend as high pressure pushes back in from the west. Warmer air and fair skies will accompany the high pressure system taking us into the start of next week.

Tuesday: Snow likely in the morning, mixing with and changing to rain during the afternoon. Some sleet and freezing rain also possible during that transition. Rain could be heavy at times. Breezy with highs 35-40. Tuesday Night: Rain likely, heavy at times, breezy, lows 34-38. Wednesday: Cloudy with scattered showers, highs 35-39. Thursday: Cloudy with scattered rain and snow showers, highs 33-37. Friday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of flurries or snow showers, highs 34-38. Saturday: Sun and clouds, highs 36-40. Sunday: Mostly sunny, highs 38-42. Monday: Mostly sunny and warmer, highs 42-46.
