Hope everyone had a great Christmas Holiday. Now we start to look to 2015! High pressure will build south of the Granite State Friday and hold through Saturday. This system will make for mostly sunny skies. The combination of the high to our south and ridging of the jet stream keeps temps well above normal for this time of the year...both with daytime highs and overnight lows.
A weak area of low pressure will pass by to our north on Sunday and it will drag a cold front across the area. This system only looks to spark a few light rain showers.
Behind the front, a more seasonable air mass returns to NH as the jet stream takes a big dip to our south. This colder air mass looks to stay locked in place for much of next week. High pressure however should be in control overall so generally fair skies are expected.
Friday: Mostly sunny, still breezy, highs 41-46. Friday Night: Mostly clear, lows 25-29. Saturday: Mostly sunny, lighter winds, highs 42-46. Sunday: Partly sunny/mostly cloudy, slight chance of a shower, highs 43-47. Monday: Mostly sunny, colder, highs 32-36. Tuesday: Partly sunny with a slight chance of a snow shower or flurry, cold, highs 27-31. New Year's Eve: Sun and clouds, cold, highs 28-32. New Year's Day: Sun and clouds, highs 29-33.
