Citations issued for unlicensed gas work in Hampton

HAMPTON – The state Fire Marshal's office cited two out-of-state contractor for performing fuel gas fitting and plumbing without licenses at a Hampton Beach home.

An inspector was from the Fire Marshal's office was performing compliance inspections when he came across two employees of Guerin Plumbing & Heating of Webster, Mass. working on a renovation project at 40 Brown Ave. Reggione A. Than of Danielson, Conn., was charged with one count of plumbing without a license and Kevin S. Blackwood of Oxford, Mass., was charged with fuel gas fitting without a license. Both are due in court June 9.

“Often times those individuals who are found performing unlicensed work are not aware of the current code or safety standards here in our state,” said state Fire Marshall J. William Degnan. ”This can lead to serious injury or death for our residents.”
