Child dies at Lancaster Fair, 2nd year in a row an incident has occurred at this location


LANCASTER — While participating in the White Mountain Riding Club Horse show at the Lancaster fair a child was thrown from her horse and later passed away.

The child allegedly was thrown from the horse at about 4 p.m. on Friday and was brought to Weeks Medical Center for treatment. She later succumbed to those injuries, Lancaster Fire reported.

A witness from the event told NH1 the girl looked to be around 5 years of age and that the accident occurred due to an incident with the horse.

The child has not been identified at this time and no details other details have been released.

This is the second year in a row that a fatal incident occurred at the Lancaster Fair Grounds.
