Charlestown woman tied up, robbed in her home

CHARLESTOWN - N.H. State Police said two men forced their way into a Charlestown woman's home Sunday night, tied her up and robbed her.

Police say the 60 year-old woman had just let her dog out on the River Road home when the two men entered her home. She fought back but the two men overpowered her and tied her up in the basement before robbing several items in her home including, jewelry and gold and silver coins and bars.

The woman wasn't found until Monday morning when a contractor working on the home discovered her in critical condition. She had been tied up for nearly nine hours.

The woman is recovering in a hospital.

Anyone who recognizes the two men or has any information is asked to call the state police's Aaron Gillis or Shawn Skahan, 603-223-8494.
