Charges upgraded to first-degree murder for Matthew Dion

MANCHESTER - Charges have been upgraded against the man accused of killing his parents and running from authorities for more than a year.

Matthew Dion, 39, now faces two counts of first-degree murder.

Police say he killed his parents and then set fire to their Manchester home in March 2014.

He was recently captured in Florida.

Dion waived his right to appear in court on Thursday.

His next court date has not been set.
