Charges expected in multi-car crash on Rochester's Main Street

ROCHESTER - Police say they expect to charge the driver of a white Jeep Liberty who hit a car on Main Street and then continued down the road where he hit two parked cars before stopping in the middle of the road.

Police say the incident occurred just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday. The driver of the white Jeep was identified as Corey Theriault, 26, of Manchester who was driving on Main Street near Green Street when he hit a GMC Sierra driven by Wayne Phillips, 63, of East Rochester. Police say the GMC suffered significant front end damage, but Phillips was not injured.

Further down the road, police say they found the Jeep, also with significant front end damage, and two parked cars with read end damage.

The accident remains under investigation but police say that neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors, however, charges are likely forthcoming.
