Charges dropped against former Concord man accused in 2014 home invasion
LACONIA — Charges have been dropped against a former Concord man accused of participating in a home invasion in 2014 where one of the occupants was shot.
The Laconia Daily Sun reported the Belknap County Attorney's Office dropped charges of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and armed robbery against 32-year-old Tyler Twombly.
Police had alleged that Twombly was one of two men who entered a home at 54 Harvard St. in June 2014 and robbed one of the people there of some illegal drugs. A gun was fired and the victim suffered either a glancing gun shot wound to the head or was struck by the weapon.
The state ran into issues with the case because it had no willing eyewitnesses to testify.
Twombly still faces one count of assault by prisoner for a fight he was allegedly involved in while incarcerated, but is now free on bail.
