Changing Families: NH locations taking part in National Drug-Take Back Day

CONCORD – This Saturday is National Drug Take-Back Day and a government website is making it easy to properly dispose of your unused medications.

The Office of Diversion Control allows you to put in your zip code in order to find the closest safe drug drop off spot near you.

When you place the Concord zip code in, there are at least four drop offs within a 10 mile radius.

Police stations, pharmacies and other sites all over the state are taking part in the national effort to prevent unused medications from getting into the wrong hands.

Rather than leaving left over prescription painkillers or other medications in your cabinet,

The drug take-back initiative is a vital part of eliminating prescription pills from the street, as prescription medications are often used as gateways to opioid addiction.

To see which areas near you are participating, visit the website here.
