Changing Families: Long-term pot use hinders word recall; Stubborn children earn more as adults

A news study says long term marijuana use may make it tougher to recall words later in life. It says people who smoke pot as young adults have a harder time remembering words come middle age.

The study says smoking pot does not appear to damage or dim other mental capacities like the ability to think quickly, focus or problem solve.

Parents, your stubborn child may be driving you nuts now, but you might be grateful down the line. A new study says stubbornness is a really good predictor of a child's future success in life.

The study followed 700 kids from age 9 up to age 40. It correlated personality traits with professional success. The kids who ignored both rules and their parents ended up being the higher wage earners. Researchers say defiant kids might be more demanding as adults and will fight for their own financial interests.
