Changing Families: Disaster preparedness training for kids

The state of New Hampshire is no longer in the path of Hurricane Joaquin, but the Red Cross has created an app to help kids understand natural disasters and how to prepare for them.

The app is designed for children between the ages of 7 and 11 to help them to learn ways to prepare and stay safe when there's a home fire, hurricane, tornado, flood or other disaster.

The kids are allowed to role play as different monster characters. You can get the app by going to the Red Cross website of text "Monster" to 90999.
