ALBANY (AP) — Two popular sites in northern New Hampshire have received some upgrades and are open to visitors.
In Albany, the Lower Falls recreation site along the Kancamagus Scenic Byway, which was closed for a year, is open again, with improved accessibility. The site is one of several waterfalls along the "Kanc."
In Woodstock, the Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves has expanded to include an "out-of-the-gorge experience."
The project consists of a new, 750-foot-long forest adventure trail that guides visitors through a covered bridge and into the woods. Visitors can follow the trail up to a birdcage overlook and cross back over Lost River Gorge on a new, 60-foot-long suspension bridge.
Ceremonies marking both upgrades are planned Friday.
