Central Catholic High School administrator fired for 'violating boundaries between students'

LAWRENCE, Mass. — Central Catholic High School fired an administrator who allegedly violated the school's policies regarding "appropriate social boundaries between students and faculty."

In a letter given to alumni, President Christopher F. Sullivan said that the employment of Andrew Nikonchuk, 36, had been terminated.

"The School has begun a process to assess the extent and frequency of these policy violations, as well as the possibility of violations of the law. In this process, the School has adhered to the state’s mandated reporting laws and is cooperating fully with the Office of the District Attorney and local law enforcement," Sullivan wrote.

The Lawrence Police Department told NH1 News that the Middlesex District Attorney's office is dealing with this incident.

"We are unable to comment on ongoing investigations," the attorney's office said.

The school did not release specifics of how Nikonchuk may have violated these policies, but they are asking anyone with information to call the Office of the President at at (978) 682-0260 ext. 611.
