Celebrate 'Star Wars Day' with new 'Force Awakens' set photos by Annie Leibovitz

I'm sure you've heard it at least once today: "May the Fourth Be With You."

It’s May 4, also known as Star Wars Day to some, which really riles up the Internet.

Vanity Fair released a photo shoot behind the scenes of the newest installment, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens” taken by Annie Leibovitz.

Along with the photo shoot revealing more about Adam Driver and Lupita Nyong’o’s characters, Vanity Fair also dove into J.J. Abrams and his approach to bring light sabers and the Galaxy Far Far away back to the silver screen.

So the timing is perfect for a Vanity Fair feature about how director J.J. Abrams ushered this new chapter onto the screen. The story is even accompanied by an Annie Leibovitz photo spread. Here are some of the exciting new tidbits.

"The Force Awakens" opens on Dec. 18.
