Car stolen in Conway stopped in Lawrence, Mass., 1 man arrested

CONWAY - A man accused of stealing a car from Grove Street in North Conway was arrested in Massachusetts earlier this week.

Police say the car was reported stolen on Tuesday, one of three vehicles that had recently been stolen from the Conway area. Police say they had identified Corey Lyons, 26, as a suspect and entered information about the stolen car in a national database.

Later that day, police in Lawrence, Mass., saw the car and pulled it over. Lyons was charged with being in possession of a stolen vehicle and operating with a suspended license.

Conway police have also charged him with theft and receiving stolen property. Lyons waived extradition and was returned to Conway on Thursday.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
