MANCHESTER — More than 3,000 people were without power Tuesday morning after a car crash.
The power outages and traffic congestion were the results of a two-vehicle accident on East Industrial Drive. Guide wires and a utility pole were struck at about 9:30 a.m.
The power outage from the utility pole caused a minor transformer fire, police said. Eversource reported more than 3,000 outages in the area - mostly in Manchester and Auburn - following the crash.
Power reportedly went out on East Industrial Park Drive, from Candia Road/Mammoth Road intersection easterly to Candia Road/ Londonderry Turnpike Traffic Circle (Sandy’s Variety).
Police conducted traffic control at the scene.
No one was injured in the accident.
