Car in swamp leads Hollis police on a search for driver

HOLLIS – A Brookline man has been charged with false report on accidents after allegedly giving incorrect information about an accident in Hollis. According to Hollis police, on Aug. 23 at about 2 a.m., officer Phil Landsteiner responded to a report of a single car accident on Rocky Pond Road in Hollis. Upon his arrival, Landsteiner found that a 2009 Lexus had left the roadway and rolled onto its side into a swamp. Landsteiner found two occupants outside of the car, both of whom gave conflicting stories as to who had been driving the car.
