Car crashes into utility pole in NH, leading to road closure

LITCHFIELD — A car crashed into a utility pole, leaving it cracked approximately 15 feet up.

Officers responded to the crash on Page Road between Cutler Road and Albuquerque Avenue on Saturday around 11 p.m.

The operator and the lone passenger did not sustain any injuries and both were wearing seat belts, police said.

The force of the crash cracked the utility pole approximately 15 feet up, causing a road closure for several hours while Eversource repaired the pole.

Police said alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor, but the crash remains under investigation.
