Car accident in NH sends a 6-year-old to the hospital
WINCHESTER — Police say that two trucks collided in New Hampshire on Saturday sending a 6-year-old to the hospital.
According to police, the accident happened around 12:14 p.m. on Route 10 in Winchester.
The driver of the 2017 Ford F-250 was identified by police as Bryan Blood, 48 of Westminster Mass.
Police say, Blood was traveling north on Route 10 with his wife and 6-year-old granddaughter when they were hit on the passenger side.
Richard Major, of Sullivan New Hampshire was identified as the driver of the 2015 GMC Sierra traveling south on Route 10 when he failed to stop and hit Blood's F-250.
According to police, Blood's wife and 6-year-old granddaughter were transported to Cheshire Medical Center with non life threatening injuries.
Both drivers and passengers were reportedly wearing seatbelts during the time of the crash, and airbag deployment occurred in both vehicles.
Police say that the cause of the accident was a failure to yield by Mr. Major.
