CANTERBURY - A town transfer station employee, who is a convicted sex offender, is accused of touching two females inappropriately while at work.
Police arrested Warren Hardy, 63, of Canterbury, on Wednesday and charged him with two counts of simple assault, one from 2008 and one from 2010.
The investigation started on Dec. 30 when one of the incidents was reported to State Police Troop D. The alleged victims are a town employee and a town volunteer.
Hardy was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Concord district court at 8:30 a.m. on March 23.
