Candia police arrest man for prowling
CANDIA- Police have made an arrest of a person they believe may be related to recent thefts.
Police say Bryon Bouchie, age 32, of 326 Amherst Street Apt. 12 Manchester, was arrested on July 6 for prowling and for violation of probation.
Police chief Mike McGillen said Thursday "the arrest of Brian Bouchie may be connected to the recent rash of garage break-ins."
McGillen said one resident reported that an air compressor and a chainsaw was taken from their garage. Other residents reported someone had rummaged through their garages and doors were partially left open. Police sent a message to the public urging residents to secure outbuildings and check their houses.
Bouchie, said McGillen, was seen at a residence on the Deerfield side of town Wednesday morning. Candia police Sgt. Scott Gallagher was responding to a call for a suspicious vehicle call when he noticed the suspected vehicle on a nearby road. Gallagher stopped the vehicle, and made an arrest.
Bouchie is being held at the Rockingham County Jail for his probation violation charge with bail set at $2,500.00 personal recognizance. Arraignment on the new prowling charge will be on September 7 in 10th Circuit Court.
