Campbell High School falls to Bow in football opener

BOW – The Campbell High School football team raced out to a fast start on Saturday afternoon against Bow when senior quarterback Kyle Manning connected with senior wide receiver Andrew Smarse for a 60-yard touchdown pass on the second play of the Cougars’ second drive of the game. From there, Bow used a strong running attack from, with contributions from multiple ballcarriers, to rattle off 35 unanswered points en route to a 35-7 victory. “We competed pretty well early, and we sort of let it get away,” Campbell head coach Greg Gush said. “They’re a good football team and we knew they would be prepared and well coached and they were. Matt Ehrenberg is a real good running back.
